al-Hamdu lillaah, Eid-ul-Adha will be on Thursday 24th Sebtember 2015 in shaa' Allaah.

Eid Mubaarak - taqabbal Allaah minnaa wa minkum! May Allaah accept our good deeds and yours.

Eid Prayers at the Masjid will be at :

7:15 am - Ustadh Abu Abdullah
8:45 am - Dr Suhaib Hasan
10:00 am - Imam AbdurRahman Bangura

We ask Allaah 'azza wa jall to accept our good deeds from the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah, which many scholars regard to be the best 10 days of the year. A useful guide to these blessed Ten Days can be found at http://www.islam-qa.com/en/ref/books/66#

On the day of Eid, please park your cars sensibly, or use public transport. Please arrive and leave calmly, and ensure neighbours of the masjid are not disturbed.

We have spoken to the council and in shaa' Allaah there will be some relaxation of parking restrictions on Eid day on the roads around the masjid. This means that you can use the residents parking bays in the side streets and the parking bays on the High Road. You cannot park on the yellow lines on the High Road after 7am. Note that the car park at the local shopping centre could also be used.

However, please do not park irresponsibly or dangerously, else you will still get a ticket. The Masjid cannot take any responsibility in such an event.

jazaakum Allaah khaira.

Tahajjud Prayers in Last Ten Nights

Print

Alhamdulillaah, some volunteers have arranged for tahajjud prayers to be held at the masjid during the last ten nights of Ramadan. The tahajjud prayer will start at 1am and continue till 1:50am in shaa' Allaah. Prayers will commence from the night of 21st Ramadan, after the 20th fast, corresponding to the early hours of Wednesday 8th July.

Volunteers are needed to help during these nights so please contact the masjid office if you are able to do so.

The masjid will be open for both brothers and sisters. However please note that the masjid doors will be closed after the tahajjud prayer and will reopen for Fajr, so please try to vacate the masjid as soon as possible after the prayers finish.

As it is in the middle of the night, please ensure you park sensibly with minimum noise. Please enter and leave the masjid calmly, and please do not loiter around the masjid. Parents with children are requested to keep their children with them at all times, and supervise them.

May Allaah help us to make the best use of these nights, and enable us to seek out the Night of Qadr :

Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree.
And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.
Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.

- al-Qur'an, Soorat-ul-Qadr (97)
